Nylon calving straps have an advantage over chains or ropes for assisted delivery of calves. The Flat strap is less likely to dig into calve's soft tissue and bones thus reduces the likelihood of injury.
Best to use two straps during calving, one for each calf leg. Made of a special polyester-fibre web which is washable, straps can be easily cleaned and disinfected.
