Carmalt Forceps have longitudinal serrations the entire length of the jaw and the tips are cross-serrated. A heavy tip and longitudinal serrations provide grip on heavy tissue and stop blood flow of large vessels. Forceps have rings handles and ratchet for a secure grip.
The forceps are also called Rochester-Carmalt Forceps and used in several procedures.
Forceps are available in 16cm and 19cm sizes and straight or curved or straight jaws.
Common Uses:
Hemostatic Forceps are usually used to control bleeding, initial incision are lined with hemostats closing blood vessels awaiting ligation. Interlocking teeth keep forceps closed. Our hemostats are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes.
