Tischler-Kevorkian Forceps have a handle and one large ring for multiple fingers, the handle has a thumb rest for precise control. Forceps have a straight shank and a rectangular tip. The lower jaw has one tooth, which prevents slipping of the tissue. Forceps have double leaf spring for easy working.
Tischler-Kevorkian Forceps are used in colposcopy procedures to obtain cervical tissue samples. The tips can fit into each other, it reduces the risk of losing the tissue sample as the instrument is withdrawn.

Biopsy Forceps is used to take a sample (bite) off the face of the cervix or from the edge of the cervical os (opening). This is done usually when the physician is suspicious of carcinoma (cancer) growing on the cervix. The sample is put into a vial of sterile saline and sent to the lab for analysis.
