Alexander Biopsy Forceps are used to grasp and remove cervical tissue during a cervical biopsy. Alexander Forceps have scissors like finger rings, straight shank and angled tip. The lower jaw has a wire frame to collect the tissue.

The forceps cups can fit into each other, it reduces the risk of losing the tissue sample as the instrument is withdrawn. The finger rings allow easy and precise manipulation of the forceps.

Biopsy Forceps are also called Biopsy Punch and commonly used in OB/GYN. Alexander Forceps are Grasping Biopsy Forceps with Interfitted Cups. The overall length of the Schubert Forceps is 28cm.

Biopsy Forceps Common Uses:
Biopsy Forceps is used to take a sample (bite) off the face of the cervix or from the edge of the cervical os (opening). This is done usually when the physician is suspicious of carcinoma (cancer) growing on the cervix. The sample is put into a vial of sterile saline and sent to the lab for analysis.
